Five families of material carry the 27 outdoor collections: hardwood, woven cord, metal, stone and outdoor fabric. This page says where each one sits on a piece, how it ages outside, and which collections use it.

Teak and iroko frames carry most of the range. Both are dense hardwoods that stand up to rain; left untreated they weather from warm brown to silver gray, and oil holds the original color for those who want it.
Woven cord in polypropylene or polyester covers backs and seats on Lido Cord, Halley, Tape Cord, Torii Nest and others. It drains, dries fast and keeps its color in sun. Stainless steel, coated metal and anodized aluminum form many of the frames, feet and bases.
Stone tops and outdoor fabric
Tables take stone such as Pietra del Cardoso or Basaltine, glazed tile, or HPL, a dense laminate that resists stains.
Outdoor fabrics cover the cushions. Store them dry through winter or under the covers offered for some collections, and the rest of the piece needs little care.

How many collections use each material
Metal turns up in most collections, often under the wood or the cord. Stone is the rarest, kept for table tops.
