A back shaped like a nest

Every Lido seat is built around its back. A bronze painted stainless steel frame curves around the sitter and is wound with polypropylene cord, giving the chairs and sofas the cupped shape GamFratesi compare to a nest. Stainless steel resists rust in salt air, and cord drains and dries quickly once the rain stops. Cord colors run from quiet sand, dark brown and black to brighter citron, dark blue and teal.

Most of the family stands on legs of solid mahogany stained dark brown, or solid teak. The semi-curved lounge sofa is the exception: it sits on an X-shaped base in bronze-finished aluminum, and one end deepens into a bergere with a soft rounded back, a spot to sit sideways with your feet up. The coffee tables borrow that same X base and carry a brushed top of fine-grain Basaltina stone, round or square.

Minotti coffee tables in this family come in four sizes and two heights, which lets a low one sit beside the sofa and a taller one next to an armchair. For a dining corner, the chair with armrests and integrated cushion pulls up to a table from another collection. GamFratesi drew Lido as one design shared by indoor and outdoor rooms, with materials alone deciding where each piece goes.
