Minotti Florida is a modular outdoor sofa by Rodolfo Dordoni, Minotti's art director since 1998. Solid natural teak forms the feet and the rear supports behind the back cushions. Around the sectional sit a coffee table topped in Pietra del Cardoso stone and an outdoor bed, so one family can furnish a whole terrace.

Teak supports, stone top
Florida is built up from many separate units. Set them in a straight run along a wall, or bend them into a curve that closes around a fire bowl or a view. The range works at both scales, a tight corner for two people and a long arrangement for a crowd. Each seat has a metal frame treated against corrosion, wrapped in foam and then covered in water-resistant fiber and fabric, so the upholstered volumes can live outside.
The edges of those soft blocks are trimmed with eco-leather made for outdoor use, which gives the sofa a sharp, tailored outline. Behind the back cushions, solid teak supports hold everything upright. The cushions hook onto that wood with metal frog fasteners in a pewter finish, and they come away quickly, which makes it simple to take the covers off for cleaning or to bring the cushions in before a storm. Teak left unoiled weathers to a soft silver gray.
The coffee table repeats the teak in its feet and carries a brushed top of Pietra del Cardoso, a dense stone that stands up well to weather. A heavy stone top also stays put when the wind picks up. The outdoor bed rounds out the family for a pool deck.
